Temptation Trails – Claire Kingsley (listened to on audiobook)

Oo er, I do love a Claire Kingsley book boyfriend and when the male lead is read by one of my go-to narrators, Jason Clarke, I’m there.

Garrett works in law enforcement, while Harper is a talented baker.  Though they come from completely different backgrounds, their chemistry is undeniable (fan yourself!). Harper has always felt that bad luck is her constant companion, until she unexpectedly encounters the man she was supposed to meet on a blind date – who had stood her up.

Both Garrett and Harper are incredibly likeable characters.  Whilst this is primarily a love story, there are additional layers to the narrative.  Garrett navigates the challenges of being a single dad with a rebellious on, all while investigating a murder that could potentially put Harper in harm’s way.

Will he be able to apprehend the killer before they strike again?
