The Murder After the Night Before – Katy Brent

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Katy Brent's The Murder After the Night Before really hits the mark!

I listened to the audiobook and found it nearly impossible to stop. Molly Monroe wakes up with a terrible hangover, only to discover a stranger in her bed.

But things take a turn for the worse when she realizes she’s gone viral for all the wrong reasons after being caught on camera in a compromising situation.

To make matters even more complicated, Molly is so hungover that she can't remember anything from the previous night.

Just when she thinks things can't get any worse, she discovers her flatmate and best friend, Posey, lifeless in the bathtub.

While the police rule Posey’s death as accidental, Molly knows her friend better than that. What was Posey investigating as a journalist that could have led to her demise? Despite her hangover, Molly is determined to uncover the truth, leading her down a dark path that reveals a shocking series of murders.

I must admit, my love for true crime documentaries helped me predict some of the twists, but it didn’t take away from my enjoyment of the story.
